On May 10, 2022, Lighthouse Recovery Services is hosting the annual Beacon Awards Dinner - a celebration and recognition dinner - at Owensboro Christian Church, Community Event Room, at 6:00 p.m. The event's special guest is Doug Scott.

Doug is the former Vice President of Mission Advancement at The Healing Place Louisville who has 15 years in long term recovery. From sleeping under a bridge in Louisville, Doug has been able to start his own business and make an impact on others struggling with addictions through his advancement at the Healing Place. Doug's servant spirit coupled with a drive to create more opportunities for those in recovery, has placed him in positions to help those in Louisville including the Louisville Metro Criminal Justice Commission Board. Doug is a great example of reaching a low never expected by the people who cared about him, to a purpose filled life helping those around him rebuild their lives.
